Settlement of the Heart
Overview
Settlement of the Heart is a fashion film for designer Mariana De Lima (Rat Prints), created to accompany her collection of the same name. Shot handheld on 16mm, the film follows two friends as they build a makeshift refuge from found materials—mirroring the collection’s upcycled “second-skin” construction in a recycled, tent-like set.
Sound / Music
Original composition and sound design built from the film’s materials. Sound was developed across garments and set as one system, shaping rhythm, tone, and spatial depth to support movement, pacing, and overall atmosphere.
